Oily skin: how to care for it without drying or clogging pores
If you have oily skin, you've probably heard a million conflicting pieces of advice: clean it more often, use talcum powder, don't put anything on it, or dry your face with toilet paper. Spoiler alert: none of that works long-term.
Oily skin needs balance, not punishment. And at Maxalli, we understand that. That's why we created unisex, effective, and light products that help cleanse, moisturize, and regulate without being aggressive or drying.
How do you know if you have oily skin?
- Excessive shine, especially on the forehead, nose, and chin
- Visible or enlarged pores
- Frequent breakouts or blackheads
- Makeup that "slips" after a few hours
This doesn't mean your skin is dirty. Oily skin tends to produce more sebum due to genetics, warm climates, or the use of unsuitable products.
1. Cleansing with our Showergel for oily skin
Our showergel with salicylic acid and activated charcoal is ideal for cleansing oily or breakout-prone areas (such as the back, chest, or armpits). Salicylic acid penetrates pores and helps remove accumulated impurities, while charcoal absorbs excess oil. It contains no harsh sulfates or comedogenic ingredients.
2. Hydration with the Balancing Serum
Hydration is key, even for oily skin. Our Balancing Serum contains zinc lactate to control sebum and dexpanthenol to soothe and hydrate without clogging pores. It's a lightweight, fragrance-free, vegan, and biodegradable formula.
What makes it different?
- Does not clog pores
- Does not dry out or leave a greasy feeling
- Light textures and skin-friendly pH
- Plastic-free and suitable for all skin identities
Maxalli: for skin that glows with health, not oil.
